Lauren Poretsky
Lauren Poretsky is an artist and a Jewish educator exploring universal narratives of cycle and resilience through Jewish traditions and visual language. Lauren’s work engages with process in the forms of shape, text, installation, and storytelling, blending diasporic culture with contemporary agents of separation like consumer culture and identity politics. Rooted in the traumatic legacy of the Jewish people, Lauren expresses the ambivalent experience of yearning towards a sense of belongingness.
