Making Ends Meet
Making Ends Meet embodies the never-ending cycle of violence between those chasing money, those accumulating money, and those who are stuck, always wanting and needing more. Highlighting the inescapable matrix of capitalism, we are instead all forced to actively and passively contribute to its continuation, although deemed unsustainable. Using whips as a motif of flagellation, self-mutilation and pleasure, it questions whether or not we are completely complacent in the pursuit of financial success and stability, or if we maintain some sense of autonomy in alleviating the inadequacies of the system.
